Demo:Swirling fabric classical style PM GMT
Online course via Zoom.
Saturday 26th June 2021. 3pm to 5.30pm GMT.
Enhance your hat draping skills by learning how to swirl and drape light weight fabrics. Learn how to interface your fabrics and using the right weight of interfacing with the right fabrics. Learn how to fold and drape your fabric on a ready-made base, discussing methods of lining and finishing your creation. Completing a base for you to decorate and line during and after the class.
Whilst learning you will:
- Choose the suitable bases to fabrics
- How to drape and swirl on the base with chosen fabrics
- How to finish the base edge
- What linings to use for the drape
- Discuss the decoration methods and the weight and balance
on the head
- All demonstration classes get the same notes as the participation classes.
Not suitable for beginners. You will need to do some preparation work for this course. For improvers and advanced.
COURSE DELIVERY METHODS
This course will be run online using Zoom.
Class sizes are small to ensure you receive the personal support you need. This course will have no more than three students.
We will run the session using two webcams - one showing the tutor and the other focused on the tutor's hands to give a close-up view of the techniques being used. Step by step notes will be sent to students before the course to help them prepare.
Students are not allowed to video record the session.

Any personal information shared between the students and the tutor during the course must considered confidential and not shared without the consent of the relevant individual.
Should The British School of Millinery's internet connection become significantly unstable during the course, it will be rescheduled.
